Southern Georgian Bay 2024 Santa Claus Parades: Your Guide to Holiday Cheer!

The holiday season is upon us, and the communities of Southern Georgian Bay are gearing up for their annual Santa Claus parades. These festive events are a cherished tradition, bringing together residents and visitors to celebrate the magic of Christmas. Here’s a comprehensive guide to the upcoming parades in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Meaford, Town of the Blue Mountains, Owen Sound, Essa Township (Angus), Clearview Township (Stayner, Creemore), Tiny Township (Wyevale), and Elmvale.

Angus Santa Claus Parade

Parade begins at 12 Commerce Road, otherwise known as Peacekeepers Park and will head south along Mill Street, concluding at the Angus Recreation Centre (8529 County Road 10).

The parade will feature a variety of floats, bands, and entertainment, bringing holiday cheer to the community. Please note that Mill Street will be closed between 9am and noon to accommodate the parade.

Collingwood Santa Claus Parade

The parade will illuminate downtown Collingwood, starting at the intersection of Hume and Hurontario Streets, proceeding north along Hurontario Street, and concluding at First Street. Participants are encouraged to incorporate the “Santa’s Workshop” theme into their floats, promising a delightful display of creativity and holiday spirit.

Owen Sound Santa Claus Parade

The parade proceeds south along 2nd Ave E, beginning at Metro to 8th Street E and then east to 3rd Ave E. Brought to you by the Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound, this year’s parade will feature a variety of floats and local community groups, all embracing the musical theme. Following the parade, the Festival of Northern Lights will kick off at 7pm, Downtown Owen Sound.

Wasaga Beach Santa Claus Parade

The parade commences on Dunkerron Avenue and concludes at the RecPlex, located at 1724 Mosley Street; travelling along Mosley through town.

Following the parade, attendees can enjoy a festive tree lighting ceremony at the Oakview Woods Gazebo, adding to the holiday cheer.

Midland Santa Claus Parade

The Midland Civitan Club invites friends, families and local businesses to come out to the 48th annual Santa Claus Parade as a ‘parade down memory lane’ this holiday season! The parade route begins at Little Lake Park – King Street entrance and travels down Bay Street!

Wyevale Santa Claus Parade

This family-friendly parade is a beloved tradition, bringing together the community to celebrate the season.

Elmvale Santa Claus Parade

The parade will commence at Huronia Centennial Elementary School, located at 28 Simcoe Street, and proceed through downtown Elmvale.

Santa will be meeting with children at the free public skate from 2-4pm at the Elmvale Arena following the parade!

Stayner Santa Claus Parade

The parade begins at the TD Bank and ends at the Stayner Arena! Stick around afterwards to warm up with some complimentary hot dogs & hot chocolate at the arena, courtesy of the Stayner & District Kinsmen!

Meaford Santa Claus Parade

The parade will travel through downtown Meaford, starting at Sykes Street North and winding through the main streets, showcasing the town’s holiday spirit.

This daytime parade is perfect for families, offering a cozy and festive atmosphere!

Creemore Santa Claus Parade

The parade will pass through Creemore, beginning at the Arena & Legion parking lot; travelling along Mill Street, Edward and Mary Streets.

Stick around to meet Santa afterwards at the Creemore Village Green!

Thornbury, Olde Fashion Christmas

Visit with Santa, enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, fire-roasted chestnuts, a tree lighting ceremony and late-night shopping
